Member for Whitsunday Backs Fishing Community

The Member for Whitsunday has backed the local fishing community.

I have received many constituent enquiries about fishing facilities throughout the electorate, in particular at Shute Harbour.

As a region with one of the largest proportions of boat registrations in the State, recreational fisherman and women deserve safe, accessible boat ramp and car parking facilities.

I will be supporting local, Bob Spees, in gathering as many names as possible for his petition.

The Queensland Minister for Transport and Main Roads should listen to the calls from our community to ensure they are consulted on these issues.

I will be writing to Minister Bailey regarding the concerns of my constituents and expressing that our community needs the State to prioritise investment in the Shute Harbour Boat Ramp facilities.
