Road upgrades needed now!

Have your say on Mackay-Bucasia Road’s main problem areas.

Residents of the Northern Beaches face daily traffic delays to get to and from work, schools, hospitals and other city services.

In some sections of Mackay-Bucasia Road there’s just one lane in and out to service a population of about 21,000, and that’s tipped to increase by more than 9000 people in the next 13 years.

In 2020, the State Labor Government put $750,000 aside for planning works, so they know this is an issue that needs to be addressed.

The Government took until July 2023 to progress the planning works to community consultation phase and aren't expected to complete the business case until mid 2024! Our community deserves better.

The work needs to start now to Build it for the Beaches!

Sign the form to register your support and have your say on the areas of greatest concern.

I will continue to:

  • Advocate for an emergency services Hub of Fire and Ambulance to be based at Northern Beaches to meet growing demand and increase in Northern Beaches manned Police Station hours.

  • Work with all levels of Government to find some immediate short-term solutions that may alleviate the congestion.

  • Liaise with the community and keep you informed of any updates on the project.

We call on the State Labor Government to get on with the job of completing Mackay-Bucasia Road upgrades. No more delays or excuses – let’s BUILD IT FOR THE BEACHES.
