National Park Investment Needed

I was joined by Sam O’Connor MP, Shadow Minister for Environment and the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsunday region yesterday and today.

We visited the Conway National Park as part of an eco-tourism experience.

Walking trails such as the Kingfisher Circuit, accessible from the Conway West Conservation Park, have still not been repaired since the summer wet season in 2019.

We need investment in our local National Parks to repair this damage immediately.

The summer wet season from 2019 impacted our area over two years ago, yet we are still waiting for the Queensland Labor Government to repair our local walking trail experiences

Our community is missing out from potential tourist opportunities. Investment in National Parks will encourage visitors to extend their stay.
