Urannah Dam Announcement

The Member for Whitsunday, Amanda Camm MP, has welcomed the announcement of the Urannah Dam by the Federal Government.   

I welcome the Deputy Prime Minister’s commitment of $483 million towards the construction of Urannah Dam. 

Today is an exciting day for North Queensland and I congratulate the proponent Bowen River Utilities on reaching this milestone. 

The Premier and the State Minister for Water must ensure the necessary approvals are fast tracked. 

The opportunities for regional Queensland are immense.  

We can’t afford for water security in the north to be delayed any longer, I urge the State Government to commence this project immediately.
